Preprocessing: Prior to use, inspect the integrity of the pipette body; records from Taizhou administrative review cases in 2023 indicate that certain unlabeled products must be returned to the supplier.

Aspiration: Squeeze the rubber bulb to expel air, then immerse the pipette vertically 2–3 cm below the liquid surface to draw up the fluid.

Volume Control: Measure the volume precisely to the nearest 0.1 mL using the graduated markings; take the reading by aligning the lowest point of the liquid meniscus with the corresponding graduation line.

Placement: After drawing up the liquid, keep the bulbous end positioned higher than the tip, and place the pipette in a dedicated stand.

Waste Disposal: If the pipette has come into contact with corrosive reagents, it must first be rinsed with a neutralizing solution before being disposed of in accordance with medical waste classification protocols.
