Quality Craftsmanship in a Square Shape
We use high borosilicate 3.3 glass for this square glass petri dish, which contains no lead or arsenic. It offers excellent chemical stability and can withstand strong acids, bases, and organic solvents without releasing harmful substances. We use a one-piece square fusion molding process, with a firing temperature of 1200℃, to ensure uniform thickness. The corners are rounded and smooth, and the surface is easy to clean. The edges are carefully polished to be burr-free, ensuring safe handling. The lid and base fit precisely, providing a good seal that reduces water loss while still allowing proper airflow. This design meets the requirements of adherent cell culture and scratch assays.
Key Data for Practical Use
We offer four standard square sizes: 60×60mm, 75×75mm, 90×90mm, and 100×100mm, all with a height of 15mm. The bottom thickness ranges from 1.2 to 1.5mm, and the lid thickness from 1.0 to 1.2mm. Light transmittance exceeds 92%. It operates within a temperature range of -20℃ to 121℃ and is suitable for autoclaving at 121℃ as well as dry heat sterilization at 180℃. Tests show it can be reused more than 50 times. The bottom flatness is controlled within 0.1mm.
The square shape is its key advantage, allowing dishes to be placed side by side in an incubator, significantly improving space utilization. The flat and smooth bottom makes it ideal for cell scratch assays, and the high transparency allows for clear observation of cells under a microscope.
