Stronger Material for Heavy Use
We use thick high borosilicate 3.3 glass for this large glass petri dish, which contains no lead or arsenic. Its chemical stability is superior to standard glass. It can withstand prolonged exposure to strong acids and bases, and performs well with organic solvents and high temperatures. We apply a high-temperature fusion process, with a firing temperature of up to 1250℃. A secondary polishing step ensures an exceptionally smooth surface. The edges are double-polished to be round and safe to handle. The lid and base fit well, providing a good seal while still allowing airflow. This helps reduce water loss and makes it suitable for aerobic microorganisms.

We offer three large sizes: 150mm, 180mm, and 200mm, with corresponding heights of 20mm, 25mm, and 30mm. The bottom thickness ranges from 1.8 to 2.0mm, and the lid thickness from 1.5 to 1.8mm. Light transmittance exceeds 90%. It operates within a temperature range of -20℃ to 130℃. It is suitable for autoclaving at 121℃ and dry heat sterilization at 200℃. Tests show it can be reused more than 45 times. Its capacity ranges from 50 to 100 ml, allowing more microbes to be cultured at once, which improves efficiency. The thick construction provides strong impact resistance and reduces the risk of breakage due to temperature changes. Its size is compatible with large incubators and sterilizers.
